OSCAR ``LOU'' MORRISON 52, passed away on November 6, 1999. Oscar was born in Tucson, Arizona, on June 19, 1947. He was a graduate of Tucson High School, the University of Arizona, and was an integral part of the community. Oscar was involved in numerous sports activities. He was an accomplished athlete, excelling in the areas of football and track and field. In addition to his love of sports, Oscar was also involved as an active member of student and government affairs. In 1971, Oscar and his wife moved to California, where he continued his love of working with youth in the area of human services. All who knew Oscar were aware of his passion for counseling and mentoring troubled youth. It was in this area that he specialized, and spent approximately 28 years cultivating his dedication to his profession. He had a special love for Boys Republic, where he worked in numerous management capacities, ultimately, as Associate Director of Boys Republic. Oscar possessed the unique ability to interact with all around him. All who knew him, loved, cherished, and respected him as a ``genuine'' friend. We are all richer for having known him. He will be sorely missed. He is survived by his wife of thirty one years, Patricia A. Morrison; sons, Kevin P. Morrison and Justin T. Morrison; mother, Ethel L. Coddie; father-in-law, Herman Craig; brother-in-law, Ken Craig; brothers, Billy D. Morrison and wife Clarice Morrison of Phoenix, Arizona, Bobby Morrison, Ed.D., Kenny Coddie, and sister Wilette Coddie Diggs and husband Orville S. Diggs, DDS; nieces, Dana Morrison May, Stacey M. Morrison, Stephanie N. Morrison, Misty L. Craig, and Nicole Craig; nephews, Aaron R. Morrison, Brandon Coddie Diggs, Ken Craig II, as well as three great nieces, one great nephew, and a host of friends and relatives.
